You bring up valid points. Although I think the problem spans from more than just parents not having those talks. Parents can talk all they want, but there has to be consistency, and in this day in age, all youth see is SEX. Sex in the movies, T.V., newspapers, magazines, streets, malls, and even in the way adults act in the church.

Don’t worry Anne… the best thing about God’s love for us is that he decides when we are ready… for everything! That’s why he gives us teenagers when they are babies! We get approximately thirteen years of on the job training to prepare us for the teenage years! By the time it happens to you, you will be ready.

I have heard about this series – but never what it was about. Everyone also said how good it was and was ready to recommend it. However, I only heard it was a good book – I never knew anything about the plot. (And now that I have a little information, I know it’s a book that would not satisfy my interests.)

That is a very difficult question. I would say that a musician is in serious need of both, but I’ve read about a hymnwriter who was blind, and of course Beethoven was able to hear for awhile, but then became deaf (and I think most people agree that his “best” music was written after he had lost his hearing).
