So, it’s been a while since i posted on here, huh?? Well, things have been going well on my internship. I like this area. I’m kinda grumpy today, and i think its just because im tired. Oh well…
So here are some things I’ve realized in my first 6 1/2 weeks on internship:
15: home visits and phone calls aren’t that bad. Just suck it up, do it, and get used to it.
14: it’s ok to make mistakes or to fail. Without mistakes, how can we grow? As John Ortberg says, “You made for something more than merely avoiding failure”
13: don’t fall down stairs
12: Netflix is the best thing ever invented for man
11: having to manage your own schedule has both advantages and disadvantages… aim for the advantages.
10: taking the trash out of the kitchen makes that strange smell go away.
9: having a candy jar in your office is NOT a good thing for your diet
8: having a candy jar in your office is a great thing for getting people to visit you
7: patience is a virtue, that even if you dont think you have it, it’s there. Just believe in yourself. Patience can be used with ALL people, not just children or youth, but adults can try your patience as well
6: procrastination never goes away unless you make a conscious effort to get rid of it from your mind.
5: parents do get annoyed if you call them a million times a day just because you’re bored and have nothing else to do
4: keep track of your credit card: know when you might go over limit: don’t go over limit twice in 1 month
3: it’s worse being in debt to your dad than the credit card companies: because he can then make it into a “life-long lesson”
2: the only way you will havea social life on internship is if you create one yourself. Don’t expect others to come to you. You need to go to them and initiate it.
1: Always look up…Your Father in Heaven wants nothing but the best for you. You just have to trust Him and look up when you’re sad, depressed, bored, or just need a friend. He’s always there for you and He wants you to call on Him. Just… Look Up.
Ok, so those, so far, are the 15 most important things I’ve learned on Internship. Life is going well. It’s kinda crazy at times, but… God always knows how to keep me occupied!
Peace in yo
