Viva Las Vegas!! July 18, 2005

Ok, so I’m going to Vegas this week. I’m so excited! The only other times I’ve been to Las Vegas were for my brothers 21st birthday and all i got to do was shop with my mom. This time, it’s just me and my dad going (which could look funny) for 2 days. It’s a quick trip, but he promised my brother and he promised me too! So, bring on the blackjack and the slots baby!! hehehehe

ok, onto other news of my life… VBS is finally over. THank the Lord! As much as I love VBS, this year, it just took it out of me. I don’t know why I was so whiped after it. But, it was a blast, the kids loved learning about Jesus the King, and i enjoyed my kind of “last hurrah” at my home church here in CA. I also gave the children’s message today, which went really well. I’m really excited to be a DCE for a while and start internship. I think it’ll be really good for me.

On a slightly scary, yet funny note…. over the past few months, ever since people found out i was going to Peoria, IL for my internship, people have been telling me that I’m going to meet my future man while I’m there. People at school were mostly telling me this. Then suddenly, out of the blue, one of my mom- friends at CLC told me that I was going to meet a guy in IL and marry him and move away forever…. it was weird. I dunno…. I don’t want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed. THat’s what always happens to me. So, i’m going to keep it on the down low, and just pray that if it is God’s will for me to meet someone, then bring it on. I’ll be ready when He wants me to be. I trust that… just thought I would share…
