Alright yo… so I’m finally getting around to posting another entry!!! So, here goes!

For my internship, I am going to Peoria Illinois!! Exciting huh? After the internship supervisor orientation this past weekend, I am so excited. I’m more comfortable and ok with where I’m going. At first, I really wasn’t, but now… I don’t know… my perspective has changed. I truly feel that this is where God wants me. I know that. I trust Him. That’s a big step for me. Scott is a great guy and we really got along quite well. It enjoyed getting to know him and I’m looking forward to working with him this next year. I can’t wait to move into my own apartment. Finally! I get to cook! :-) So, yeah, that’s a big update than a month ago.

Also… This is the most content I’ve been with my singleness. I am very ok with not dating. Now, this doesn’t mean that I don’t want a boyfriend (or a man friend) in the future, because I do. I want to have a relationship, fall in love, get married, have children and have a family. But, as of where I am right now in my life, I’m very ok with where I am. God has great plans for me in the future and right now, that doesn’t include a guy. I’m totally fine with that. I’m not missing anything. I mean, dude, I’m almost 21 years old and single. How fun is that? These are the best years of my life!! I can’t wait for the family, but I’m doing very well where I’m at.

So, I have no idea how to clean my room. No matter what I do, it’s always a mess. Seriously. I’m almost scared as to how my apartment will look next year. I know that because i have a larger amount of space to myself, I will keep in cleaner, but still… It’s kinda funny that way.

Oh well… So, another thing that has happened: Pope John Paul II died. Yeah, he’s dead. THis one thing bothered me: the media and the Catholic people were almost grieiving him as if he were God. He’s NOT! He’s just a man like the rest of us. He was created in God’s image, just like you and me. He was a great man, dont’ get me wrong. He was the head of a church and a nation (yes, Vatican City is it’s own nation (country) separate from Rome and Italy), but he was just a man. I think the media over did it a little bit with the coverage and the hype about his death, funeral, burial, etc…. and now, just a few moments ago, they announced that a new pope has been elected. The media, once again, is going nuts. They’re analyzing every aspect of the possible successor to JPII… I mean, that’s great, but dude… chill out. The new guy’s just a man too. Nothing real special except that he’s chosen to give his entire life up for the church… for the church or for God? As a church worker myself, I would rather give up my life for the Lord, not necessarily for the church. I think there’s a separation there that needs to be made distinct, but that the media and public often muddies. The church is there to serve God and to lead his people and to bring glory to God. The Pope is there to be a visible leader of the Roman catholic church. He’s not God. He’s not a gateway to God. He’s not a savior. He’s just like a president. He’s a leader. Not Jesus. Only Jesus is our light and our salvation. Jesus is the gate to the pasture. Whoever passes through him will have eternal life. Believe in Jesus and you’ll live forever. Believe in the Pope, and you have idols that you’re worshipping. That’s the different between Jesus and the Pope. Jesus is God and man. Pope is just man.

Ok, enough of my political soap box… hehehe….

ok, so I’ve gotta get ready for class soon. I also want to take a nap. :-) Thanks for reading and for wanting me to post another site. Sorry it took so long for me to get another post up! Have a stupendiferous week!!!

Peace in yo!
